In the early 1950s, the Scheibel family moved to Nanaimo. The 19 brothers and sisters and their families established roots all over the Nanaimo area, with their principal occupations mostly revolving around the construction industry. The Scheibel family was instrumental in developing many areas in the central Nanaimo area.
Doug Scheibel has lived in Nanaimo for most of his life. Over the years, he has witnessed a huge change in the little town that he grew up in, as it expanded from a small town of 20,000 people to the bustling city that it is today. He met and married his wife Debbie in Nanaimo, and together they raised their twin sons Matt and Clayton here.
Doug has been self-employed, working in the sales field for over 28 years, with business ventures covering central Vancouver Island from Duncan to Campbell River. Along the way, he has established a reputation as a reliable and honest businessman who is committed to providing the highest level of sales service.
Over the years, Doug has been very involved in the local community, including roles with the Lions Club, the Nanaimo Bathtub Society, Minor Hockey and Minor Baseball. He has also contributed both time and money to other various charities and events.
Doug’s personal motto is: “I will treat every client in the same manner that I would expect to be treated. I guarantee it”.
